Britt and Jon | The Depot Minneapolis Wedding
How do I describe Britt and Jon's wedding... BANG BOOM WOOSH! Nope, that didn't work. I need 3D emojis here! I'll start at the end where the whole wedding party and many extras ended the evening with the couple stealing the show at the Vegas Lounge in NE as they both dominated their own unique renditions of karaoke perfection. We closed the bar out! I danced on a chair until some grumpy fella in a salt'n'pepper beard made the inflammatory hands down signal to me from a distance.
I'd like to say I've seen it all in weddings but I know there are many more surprises to come! I had a groom split his pants down the crotch right before the ceremony (Joe Cox:) and for our gorgeous bride here in all the chaos of champagne and bridesmaids we lost an integral part of the couture dress. After a few hours of searching we had to throw in the towell and as this former 2011 Miss Minnesota USA knows - the show must go on! Thank the world for strong tape. We taped our bride up and I never heard her even complain once! A lesson to brides everywhere, even with setbacks on your wedding day don't forget why you're there in the first place. The love of your life is waiting for you and taping your assets together, while I imagine, not ideal, is not going to be enough to stop you! We put together a complex photoshoot in an hour. I must thank my amazing team! Days like this you need to communicate through your ESP channels to your squad! I sweated from every pore of my body. TMI? But we did it! The wedding was gorgeous, the couple made us cry with their vows. The party was off the hook!
The end of the night as Jon rapped a perfect gangsta beat on stage, Britt says to me, "see why I love him?" And I did. It was beautiful. The first picture below became my favorite. I stole the couple away from chaos for a 15 minute jaunt to the spot where they had their first date at the Fulton Brewery. Threw the barkeep a 10, they slammed a beer, kissed, waived to the onlookers, driving on the way back, cameras in hand I snap a pic through the mirror. He always dreamt of being a hero. She always dreamt of being a princess. As fate would have it, he's her hero and she's his princess.
